This post is all about my best banana bread with sliced peaches recipe.

I tried this banana bread recipe a few days ago and loved it so much that I decided to share it.
Banana Bread was something we would hear about a lot, how amazing it is, and how it is a tradition for Americans to eat it for breakfast or dinner.
Slowly, the banana bread recipe travelled across the world, and now, here in northern Europe, people have been baking banana bread. It has become something we eat regularly (well, maybe not as regularly as Americans).
This easy banana bread recipe is not only quick (ready in 45 minutes) but also moist. Also, it’s kid-friendly, which means the whole family can enjoy.
Banana bread on its own is already delicious, but when I added some peaches, it was heavenly! As I said, this banana bread is quick, moist, and fluffy, so when you add peaches to the recipe, it transforms into heavenly, something you and yours should try like ASAP!
Before we start, here’s the equipment you’ll need to get started:
- A Loaf pan
- Measuring spoons
- A fork or a whisk
- A rubber spatula
- A mixing bowl
A Loaf pan
We need a loaf pan to pour the batter into. Don’t forget to use baking paper; if you don’t have it, grease the loaf pan with butter.
Measuring spoons
Best for measuring all the ingredients that will go into the banana bread batter
A Fork or a whisk
You can use a fork or a whisk, and both will get things done. I myself use mostly a fork – it’s just a preference.
A Rubber spatula
You need a rubber spatula to get all the ingredients out of the mixing bowl
A mixing bowl
Well, this is obvious; we need a mixing bowl to mix all the ingredients.
Before we get into ingredients and steps to this banana bread with peaches recipe, I must answer the most popular questions first-time bakers have asked.
How long is banana bread good for?
It depends on how and where you store it. If you store it outside of the fridge, make sure to check the temperature and what kind of banana bread you’ve made. This recipe contains eggs, so I can say from my own experience – banana bread can last outside of the fridge 1 to 2 days max IF covered correctly and somewhere “cool”.
In the refrigerator, the bread can last 5 to 7 days – be cautious, though; the refrigerator slows the process of it going bad, but it also dries the bread.
Can you freeze banana bread?
Yes, you can! You can freeze the bread for 2 to 3 months. Just remember to wrap it in plastic and foil or freezer bags. Make sure to slice the bread before freezing, so it’s easier to thaw it at room temperature or, for quicker results, you microwave it for 30 seconds.
Is banana bread healthy?
You can always make a healthy version by not adding sugar or replacing the sugar with something else.
How to know it went bad?
Signs that the bread went bad
- If you see visible mold, like colour changing, etc. Throw the bread immediately.
- If it tastes different, like sour, and has a funny smell, I don’t recommend eating it.
- Texture change; it is becoming slimy or oddly wet
The Recipe:
This recipe will take you 45 minutes to make. You can serve this to up to 10 people. This recipe is suitable for all ages, literally from 1 to 120!
Ingredients:
- 3,5 dl Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1-1,5 dl Sugar (adjust to taste or leave it out)
- 150 g Butter (melted)
- 2 Eggs
- ½ Banana (a half of a banana)
- 1 whole peach (sliced)
- 0,25 tsp Salt

Instruction:
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Use two separate bowls: one for dry ingredients and one for the wet ingredients.
- Smash your eggs, then add sugar, then mix them well. If you use vanilla extract, you can add it here. In another bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, vanilla sugar (if you don’t use the extract one), and salt. Then mix well.
- Then combine everything! Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, DON’T forget to continuously stir the bowl as you add your flour to the other bowl.
- When everything is combined and stirred well, add the banana and butter. Stir again, then add half of the sliced peaches to the mix. The other half of the peaches, you can sprinkle them on top of the batter.
- Pour the batter into a loaf pan. If you’re not using the baking paper, butter down your loaf pan so that once baked, it’s easier to remove the banana bread from the pan.
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Check if it’s done by inserting a toothpick into the thickest part of the bread; if it comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached, it’s done.
- Cool and enjoy! Let the read cool down before slicing.
Why you’ll love this recipe
- Quick and easy: Perfect for busy bakers
- Suitable for all ages: Like, honestly, from 0- to 120-year-olds!
- Customizable: Adjust the sugar to suit your taste, can also be done without adding sugar or salt.
- Can be used in different occasions: Great for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
