This is a recipe I got from my mother, with a mix of my own. It goes best with any pasta, but I choose to have it with spaghetti. Especially now that it’s getting cold, this comfort meal is an excellent idea for the whole family. Luckily, this is a quick cook, so it’s an extra good idea to make it TODAY.
This is a classic dish that anyone can make; it is so easy you wouldn’t believe how old I was when I learned to cook it myself. Well, I wasn’t that young that you may think, but this is to say – everyone from the age of 10 and up can make this dish, that is how easy this recipe is.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
- 1-2 onions, chopped
- 400mg of ground beef
- 200 g (or a 200ml can) of tomato sauce
- 150 ml water
- 1 baby spoon salt
- 1 baby spoon of seasoned salt
- 1 tablespoon of paprika powder
- 0,5 baby spoon of nutmeg
Serving for 3-6 people.
Time of cooking 75min (1h 15min)
Pastas
As I said earlier, you can have this with every pasta you would like. If you have toddlers, I think the best pasta for them would be penne or the classic macaroni. But if you don’t want your toddlers to have any pasta, another option is potatoes or sweet potatoes.
Directions
Step 1
Because we have 300-400mg of ground beef, we are good with a medium-sized frying pan, make sure it’s round like “a wok pan”.
Step 2
Chop your onions, then heat the oil in a pan. After 60-120 seconds of waiting for the oil to heat, add the onions and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 3
Add beef. Let it get brown on both sides before breaking it into small pieces. When breaking, you can use spices: seasoned salt and paprika powder.
Step 4
Add tomato sauce (preferably one with diced tomatoes), then season with salt and nutmeg. Stir for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Add water, reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook for 30-50 minutes. At this time, you can already make your pasta. If you’re making potatoes, boil them.
Step 6
Enjoy.
